Updated: October 26th, 2020, all members and guests must follow the guideline below:
Arrival at the Stadium
- All members will be required to wear a mask, as mandated by the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- When entering use the Aquatic Door entrance to Sackville Sports Stadium.
- If you are scheduled members of a league, there is no longer a need to sign in as the stadium has your information for contact tracing. Just give the front desk an indication you are a curler. Spares are still required to sign in as you are not included on the regular league lists.
- Please come ready to play with curling shoes in hand.
- Please sanitize hands when entering the club house
- Please don’t show up any earlier than 20 minutes prior to the start of your draw time.
- All practice time blocks will be booked online and walk ins will not be accepted.
- No spectators will be permitted at this time.
- Please remember to wear a mask while moving about in the clubhouse. It may be removed while seated.
- Early draws must vacate the club on, or before 8:10pm to allow for the second draw to enter and take place on time.
- All members when leaving must exit through the main fitness doors.
- The Board will reassess the rules surrounding the Covid-19 protocols on a monthly basis.
Off Ice
- The back entrance will be staff use only.
- When entering the club please follow the signs and guides that have been put in place on the floor to find where to line up prior to the start of your draw.
- All locker rooms will be closed until further notice, washrooms will remain open.
- Please arrive no earlier than 20 minutes prior to the start of your draw time.
- Draw times will remain the same as last year but are subject to change.
On Ice
- As of October 1st, updated protocols will allow us to curl as usual, with 2 sweepers and no social distancing required in the ice shed.
- Leads will be responsible for wiping down the rock handles.
- Appoint one 3rd (Mate/Vice) to handle the scoreboard.
- Masks can be removed during play in the ice shed and put on when reentering the clubhouse after a game.
Junior Recreational Program
- No parents will be allowed in the club except for Ice Cubes
- Instructional Programs / Learn to Curl will be 3 players per instructor and per hack; Mandatory Masks;
Community equipment can be used - Junior Recreational League will be Playing triples, Mandatory masks, No equipment will be available.
We are partnering with The Curling Store to offer curling kits (gripper, slider, broom) hoping to be less than 100$.
