Dear Members,
In light of the News Conference introduced today by the Province Medical Health Doctor and Premier of Nova Scotia, the LCC Board has reviewed our Covid related policies.
As a result, we are pleased to say, effective Monday, January 25th the following changes in our operations will be in place until further notice!
We are able to put in place our return to play Protocols in allowing regular curling to once again take place allowing “UP TO 50 CURLERS IN THE ICE SHED.” THEREFORE REGULAR DRAW TIMES, although we may have to make changes if necessary!!
Morning Draws 8 ends and Evening draws 6 ends unless no second draw as previously played in the month of November 2020.
Once again, STILL NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED
Members should not enter the Club to curl more than 15 MINUTES before their scheduled draw time. The door to the Club will be closed to entry WHEN SECOND DRAWS ARE TO BE PLAYED.
Once in the club and preparing to play, listening to announcements, etc., members are asked to wear masks, physically distance, and adhere to the policy protocols.
Bar service will be in operation, winning team can purchase the drinks at the bar at completion of game and sit at their designated sheet with mask removal to THOSE who drink afterwards. Reason is that evening draws have been shortened to 6 ends to allow for post game drinks and draw switches.
The good news is that these changes will not impact our play schedule or how we play our games. Hopefully, these tightened provincial regulations will have had the desired effect, and we will be able to continue with our season with a more relaxed social regime.
See you all this week onward!
Regards,
Peter Boudreau
President LCC
